Downtown Missoula Partnership

The DMP is a collaboration of three distinct organizations dedicated to making Downtown Missoula the best it can be. As a premier place-based, economic development, non-profit organization, the Downtown Missoula Partnership is comprised of eight full-time and six seasonal employees dedicated to making Downtown the best it can be.

The DMP is a great place to work, and the reach of the organization’s work impacts all Downtown stakeholders and consumers. As Montana’s most vibrant and culturally-rich city center, Downtown Missoula is where we all Connect to our Community, and the DMP staff lives and works its mission every day.

As an employee of the DMP, you will join a team of professional staff and board members who work together to execute the Downtown Master Plan and the DMP Strategic Plan. The DMP is a united group of employees that serve three distinct organizations, each with a separate Board of Directors, mission, budget and set of programs.

  • The Missoula Downtown Association (MDA) is the membership-based business organization focused on serving and supporting Downtown businesses through advocacy, marketing & events, membership services, and implementation of the Downtown Master Plan. Primary programs include major Downtown festivals and events, development and management of Caras Park, Downtown décor, and the Downtown Gift Card program.
  • The Missoula Downtown Foundation (MDF) is the fundraising organization focused on donor development and grant acquisition for projects and programs that benefit Downtown Missoula.
  • The Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) is the property-owner organization focused on clean and safe programming, common-area maintenance and management, and business development.

Summer Internship

Downtown interns are responsible for assisting with projects, programs, events and campaigns that make the Heart of Missoula vibrant! We are seeking a part-time, 15-20 hours per week, individual to help plan, coordinate, and staff community, membership and special events.

Downtown Dream Team: Event & Support Staff

This position is responsible for venue and event management in Caras Park and maintaining Downtown Missoula’s street décor. This includes coordination with event planners, setting up and tearing down events, keeping Caras Park and its equipment clean and in good working condition, caring for Downtown flower baskets, boulevard banners, garbage and recycling management and more.

Unseen Missoula Tour Guide

Group on Unseen Missoula Tour

The Downtown Missoula Partnership is seeking tour guides to facilitate tours for it’s Unseen Missoula historic guided tour program. Tours are offered April – October and lead guests on education-based, guided walking tours to showcase Missoula’s unique history. The program aims to connect Missoulians and guests to our community, foster cultural identity, and promote heritage experiences for all.
