Member Workshops
Our Member Workshops are hands-on, interactive experiences designed to help you learn something new while connecting with fellow downtown members. Hosted by local experts and businesses, these workshops go beyond lectures—think rolling up your sleeves, getting creative, and walking away with a new skill (or something you made yourself). Whether it’s building a flower bouquet, learning a practical business tool, or exploring a creative outlet, these workshops are about learning by doing. These are great staff outing and staff development opportunities!
Downtown Dialogues
Downtown Dialogues is a community conversation series that brings together local business owners, leaders, and neighbors to share stories, ideas, and perspectives shaping Downtown Missoula. Each event features candid discussions around timely topics—from growth and resilience to creativity and collaboration—designed to spark connection, learning, and meaningful dialogue. This event is co-hosted with the DMP and the Missoula Economic Partnership.
Large Social Events
The MDA offers three large events a year exclusively for members, a BBQ, Holiday Party and Annual Awards Banquet.
BBQ
In late July, we typically throw a huge BBQ in Caras Park to celebrate the summer in Downtown. Members are encouraged to bring the entire family for socializing and down-home cooking by our members.
Holiday Party
Our Christmas Party has been a can’t-miss event for many years. It is our holiday social event where hundreds of members come together to mingle and partake in the holiday spirits.
Annual Awards
