Downtown Dine Local Week Returns January 24-30, 2022
Coming off of a successful holiday season for retail businesses, the Downtown Missoula Partnership is hosting the second annual Downtown Dine Local Week to shift to focus toward supporting food and beverage businesses in Downtown Missoula. The week-long promotion encourages the community to experience a large variety of offerings at different dining locations. Slated for January 24-30, there are over 100 local dining businesses in Downtown for Missoulians to discover.
“Downtown Missoula offers the best collection of food and beverage businesses in the state, so folks can easily spread their support across several locations in one outing,” said Josh Eder, Financial Advisor and incoming president of the Missoula Downtown Association (MDA) Board of Directors. “With a focus on MDA members in the food and beverage business, our team is showcasing what Downtown offers folks looking to spend money with local businesses and who also want to skip cooking for a night or two.”
Over 20 locations are officially hosting special deals, promotions, and giveaways, but all Downtown food and beverage businesses will benefit from the support of the community. As some of the hardest hit businesses during the pandemic, many locations are still looking to return to 2019 sales numbers. By engaging with Downtown Dine Local Week, community members will be feeding their soul and fueling their neighborhood with additional dollars during a traditionally slower month.
Those who follow along on Missoula Downtown’s Facebook or Instagram have several chances to win a $50 Downtown Gift Card, good at over 200 MDA-member businesses. Promotions include Take-Out Tuesday & Thursday, Lunchtime Love, French Fry Friday, Brunch-tastic Weekend, as well as the Dine Local Fanatic Giveaway featuring a package valued at over $350 in goodies from Downtown food and beverage businesses. New this year is a “Diner Bingo” challenge where folks are encouraged to show off their Dine Local Week adventures on social media. Those who get a bingo card are entered to win a $100 Missoula Downtown Gift Card.
Downtown Dine Local Week is also a terrific opportunity for community members to use Missoula Downtown Gift Cards received in 2021. “Breaking previous records, over $570,000 in gift card sales happened last year, which means there is a lot of purchasing power in the hands of Missoulians, and those dollars can be spend at MDA member businesses across the board,” said Linda McCarthy, Executive Director of the Downtown Missoula Partnership. “We encourage those who received a gift card in the last 12 months to take this opportunity to treat themselves. In doing so, they will also be supporting local businesses. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
