1889 (104 N. Higgins): Chef’s Tasting Menu with Try or Dry Pairings  $55 for three courses, $25 for pairings. Course 1: French Onion Soup -or- Butter Lettuce Salad slivered almond, brown butter butternut, sharp cheddar, iced red onion, roasted apple vinaigrette paired with L’Alpege Chasselas (Swiss white wine) or Huber NA Sparkling Gelber Muskateller. Course 2: Shrimp & Grits three sauteed shrimp, Marsh Hen Mill grits, Levi’s creole sauce, candied bacon full sized entrée | add 10  paired with Usher Tinkler Death by Semillon or Mountain Spectre Abstinence orange aperitif, Ritual whiskey, honey, vanilla -or- 6oz Filet Mignon  whipped potatoes, chili crisp carrots  8oz filet mignon | add 15 paired with Escarpment Pinot Noir or Athletic Brewing NA Witbier all regular menu accompaniments available Course 3: Huckleberry Cheesecake -or- Espresso Crème Brulee paired with a classic Grasshopper, Amaro di Angostura Bitter Digestivi, or Market Spice cinnamon-orange tea.
