The Caras Park Pavilion, located in the heart of Downtown Missoula on the Clark Fork River, is available for public and private events. The Pavilion can accommodate events ranging from a dinner party for 150 to a large concert for 3,500. It's a perfect location for festivals and fundraisers, weddings and reunions.
Caras Park has been the site of many exciting events such as Out to Lunch, Downtown ToNight, Garden City River Rod, the International Wildlife Film Festival WildFest, Parks & Recreation Kids Fest, Celtic Fest, First Night Missoula, Garden City BrewFest, Hemp Fest, GermanFest, and concerts by Jewel, Chris Isaak, Los Lobos, Santana, Ziggy Marley and B.B. King.
Free Blackfoot Communications Public Wi-Fi is available in the park in the spring, summer and fall.
No pets allowed under pavilion during event due to health code regulations. Dogs can enjoy the grassy areas of the park on a leash!

The Missoula Downtown Association manages, maintains and leases Caras Park for both public and private events. Caras Park has been home to more than 1,000 events over the course of 12 years. These events have drawn nearly one million individuals to the city’s premiere park on the Clark Fork River. Each year it serves as a strong economic driver for Downtown and brings the community together in ways no other Missoula destination can.
The future of Caras Park is bright, but this special place needs continued improvement and investment. The white canopy is nearing the end of its 15 year lifespan and a permanent sound system would be a dream come true for performers, entertainers, and event goers. The Pavilion and the Band Stand also need on-going annual maintenance and a Caras Park Endowment is being established to ensure future generations have the same experience.
Today, the Missoula Downtown Foundation is requesting your commitment to improving Missoula’s Town Square by making any level of contribution. Pledges, planned gifts and all donations can be made payable to the Missoula Downtown Foundation.
Every year the MDA Board awards several sponsorships to assist non-profits in renting the pavilion for community events. Individual awards are granted to nonprofit organizations whose event demonstrates a clear benefit to the Missoula community, brings a significant number of people to the Downtown area, and provides a positive image for Caras Park, Downtown and Missoula.

To hold your date for the Caras Park Pavilion, you must fill out the Confirmation Form below and submit a $100 non-refundable confirmation fee that will be applied to your rental. The balance of your rental, Lease Agreement and $250 security deposit are due 30 days before the day of your event. You can also find in the forms below a layout map that will assist you in the planning and layout of your event. An MDA staff member will contact you within 30 days of your event to finalize setup details.
If serving alcohol, complete the Alcohol Permit Waiver form and submit payment in the amount of $10.00. In the event alcohol will be sold at the event, ensure the caterer has an endorsement for the specified event or obtain an alcohol permit from the Department of Revenue Liquor Division.
How to Contribute
With support from a variety of Missoula-area organizations, the creation of the Missoula Downtown Foundation in 2010 allows us to provide tax incentives for contributors to the Caras Park Pavilion and other projects. The Missoula Downtown Foundation, created to support implementation of the Downtown Master Plan, is served by a six-person Board of Directors, chaired by Colleen Rudio of Cascadia Business.
