Missoula Downtown News
Tuesday, September 12, 11:30-1pm
Visit Habitat for Humanity of Missoula’s current home-builds and observe the progress on Burlington Avenue of the Franklin to the Fort Neighborhood, where seven children will gain stable housing this year. Executive Director Noreen and Site Supervisor Mike will discuss how the home-building process brings together local businesses and patrons alike, the dedication and fortitude of our partner families, and how the Habitat ReStore and Donation Center is a unique part of the organization’s mission.
Event will be held at 2218 Burlington Ave and 2220 Burlington Ave. Parking is limited near the site; for a convenient alternative, hop on a Beach Transportation bus for quick service to and from Burlington. The bus will depart from Caras Park at 11:30 and return to same location by 1 pm.
Gourmet brown-bag lunches during the outing provided by Market on Front, and attendees all have the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the ReStore!

Since 2006, the Downtown Clean Team has served the community by picking up garbage, tearing down old posters, sweeping the sidewalks, weeding the tree wells, and shoveling the snow from the corner ramps throughout Downtown Missoula. One of the primary programs of the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID), the Downtown Clean Team is comprised of individuals from Opportunity Resources, each contributing 30 hours a week of service in the public right-of-way spaces in Downtown Missoula.
Stevie Adams is one of five members of the Downtown Clean Team, and this week marks his 10th Anniversary of service. Stevie and his fellow Clean Team crew members work hard every day to make Downtown Missoula the cleanest city center in the Pacific Northwest. Adams is well-known and appreciated by the staff, board members, business owners and property owners throughout Downtown. His joyful smile lights up the room.
