Caras Park
What Is Caras Park?
Caras Park is a historic park in Downtown Missoula along the Clark Fork River. What used to be underwater, then a junkyard, is now a beautiful and well-known public space in the heart of Missoula.
The Caras Park area encompasses the Caras Park Pavilion, Bandshell Stage, the Missoula Carousel, the Riverfront Terrace at Brennan’s Wave, the Underbridge Playground, and East Caras Park.
Who Manages Caras Park?
The Missoula Downtown Association (MDA) manages and leases Caras Park as an event venue, while the City of Missoula and Parks and Recreation serve as the official owners of the park, providing landscaping and facilities upkeep throughout the year.
Both the MDA and Parks & Recreation work hard to keep Caras Park beautiful while overseeing numerous projects dedicated to its growth and enhancement, including the 2025 Caras Park Canopy Campaign.
Rent Caras Park
Organizations, community groups, and individuals can book the Caras Park event venue for public or private events. Events at Caras Park are a strong economic driver for Downtown and bring the community together in ways no other Missoula destination can.
Signature events hosted at Caras Park include Out to Lunch, Downtown ToNight, the Missoula Marathon, Garden City BrewFest, Winter Brewfest, Symphony in the Park, GermanFest, and the beloved annual River City Roots Fest.
Rain, snow, or shine, host your event at Caras any day of the year!
Donations to Caras Park
The future of Caras Park is bright, but this special place needs continued improvements and investment. To assist with solidifying the legacy of Caras Park for the long term, consider making a gift to the Missoula Downtown Foundation (MDF) or supporting the Caras Park Fund Endowment.
The MDF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to support and promote Missoula through the enhancement of Downtown, now and for future generations. Have questions about how to give? Contact the Downtown Missoula Partnership Director of Giving, Carrie Harper ([email protected]).
