Unseen Missoula’s Screams & Spirits Tours Slated for October in Downtown Missoula
UNSEEN MISSOULA’S SCREAMS & SPIRITS TOURS SLATED FOR OCTOBER IN DOWNTOWN MISSOULA
Falling into October, the Downtown Missoula Partnership will be offering Unseen Missoula: Screams & Spirits Tours in Downtown Missoula. For the third year in a row, the guided walking tours will be offered during select weekends in October, Thursday through Sunday at dusk. The outdoor walking tour takes about 90 minutes and costs $25 per person.
The Screams & Spirits Tour takes a deep dive into Downtown Missoula’s chilling history with forgotten cemeteries, eerie landmarks, and scandalous figures many have never heard of. Led by local and knowledgeable guides, guests will explore the haunting past of Missoula, where tales of scandal, crime, and mystery come to life.
The tour winds through Downtown Missoula’s historic streets, stopping at sites of local legends and once-forgotten stories. Tours commence at the corner of Higgins and Front and conclude at Cranky Sam Public House, located at 233 W. Main Street in the heart of Missoula’s historic red-light district.
Guests might feel the presence of long-gone spirits or hear the echoes of their cries from centuries past. This journey through time promises an unforgettable experience as Missoula’s eerie history is brought to life under the evening sky.
“Taking a historical tour of Downtown Missoula provides an inside experience on what brought this community to life,” said Linda McCarthy, Executive Director of the Downtown Missoula Partnership. “The Screams & Spirits Tour is a little bit of history, some folklore, friendly ghost tales, and an introduction to the Hidden Lady at Cranky Sam. These tours are only available in October, so they sell out quickly.”
The Screams & Spirits Tour is ADA-accessible, making it a welcoming experience for all.
