Raise a Glass to Winter and Enjoy Some Brews
RAISE A GLASS TO WINTER AND ENJOY SOME BREWS;14th Annual Winter BrewFest Returns February 22
Mother Nature set the stage this past week and brought fresh snow to the valley for the ultimate Caras Park winter experience. Held on Saturday, Feb. 22, the 14th Annual Winter BrewFest will feature over 40 taps, with nearly all being Montana breweries, a wine/mimosa bar, local food trucks, and music from 1-6 pm. Produced by the Missoula Downtown Association, Winter BrewFest is a unique, outdoor wintertime event that brings Missoulians together in the Heart of Missoula.
Sponsored by TDS Fiber, MariMint, and the Trail 103.3, Winter BrewFest features over 40 microbrews, ciders, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beer, as well as a wine and mimosa bar. Non-alcoholic drinks for non-drinkers and designated drivers will also be available. This year’s event features entertainment from DJ TRX, as well as food from three of Missoula’s best food trucks: M-80 Chicken, Pattie Wagon, and Sa Wad Dee. Attendees can stay warm while tasting the brews thanks to burn barrels and propane heaters.
Winter BrewFest is free for all to enjoy, although those looking to taste beers, ciders, seltzers, wine, and mimosas will need to purchase an official event glass for $20 per person, which includes four drink tokens; additional tokens are two for $3. As a special addition to this year’s event, 12oz. limited-edition Winter BrewFest mugs will be available for $30 and include four tokens. In recognition of the Missoula Downtown Association’s 50th anniversary, the glassware will feature gold logos. The event accepts cash and, this year, credit cards. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the biggest selection of options. Event organizers ask that attendees remember to drink responsibly and bring designated drivers.
