MDA SEEKS FOOD VENDORS, BANDS FOR DOWNTOWN 2020 SUMMER EVENTS

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS IS MARCH 1

Each summer, the Missoula Downtown Association produces a number of events aimed at bringing thousands of people to Downtown Missoula. On Wednesdays at lunchtime and Thursday evenings in June, July and August people can enjoy two of the longest-standing traditions in Downtown Missoula – Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight in Caras Park. There are many opportunities to participate in these community events. Those interested in vending, performing and providing children’s activities are encouraged to apply online at https://www.missouladowntown.com/events/participate-mda-events. The deadline for applications to be submitted for Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight is March 1.

The Out to Lunch Summer Series runs June 3 to August 26 from 11am-2pm, and the Downtown ToNight Summer Series runs June 4 to August 27 from 5:30-8:30pm. Nearly 125 different bands from across the country applied to perform at Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight a year ago.

For each event, 20-25 local food vendors provide a wide variety of food and beverage offerings for sale. Food vendors commit to the full 13-week season. Preseason vendor fees must be submitted with application.

In alignment with the City of Missoula’s Zero to Fifty Initiative, all food must be served in compostable items again this year. Additionally, through the City of Missoula, Crush-it-Crusade will provide zero-waste stations, with accompanying signage to be setup throughout the summer in Caras Park.

Both Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight offer great opportunities to showcase businesses to thousands of potential customers and clients. There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available each week. A spotlight sponsorship (up to three sponsors per date) is available for $500. There are additional opportunities to support each program as well. Those levels of sponsorship would receive listing in the handbill and recognition in the announcements each week.

Close to 150 distinct Missoula-area businesses and non-profit organizations support the outdoor food and music festivities each year.
