New Board Members & Officers Introduced at Annual MDA Awards Banquet

NEW BOARD MEMBERS & OFFICERS INTRODUCED AT ANNUAL MDA AWARDS BANQUET

New officers and three new board members for the Missoula Downtown Association (MDA) were ratified by the general membership at the annual meeting on January 16.

Joining the MDA Board of Directors for a three-year term are Mimi Hall Gustafson, Conor Newman and Jeff Smith.

Hall-Gustafson is in her second stint as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Holiday Inn Downtown. She previously worked for Destination Missoula and the Tourism BID from 2017-19. She has a BA in Advertising & PR from the University of Idaho and has lived in Missoula since 2013.

Newman is a CPA for Boyle, Deveny & Meyer (BDM) and a Downtown resident. He grew up in Missoula and earned both a BS and an MS in Accounting from the University of Montana. He’s been with BDM since 2008.

Smith is an attorney and has been with Garlington, Lohn & Robinson since 2009. A native of Lewistown, Mont., he has a BA in Political Science from the University of Hawaii and JD from UM. He and his wife, Jenna, opened Cloth & Crown in 2011.

Rolling off the MDA Board after a combined 14 years of service to the MDA are Anders Brooker (Runners’ Edge), Lynda Brown (Brown HR Consulting), and Jeff Kuchel (Crowley Fleck).

“We are fortunate to have a large group of intelligent, educated and experienced individuals serve on the MDA Board,” said Linda McCarthy, Executive Director of the Downtown Missoula Partnership. “The MDA Board is one of the largest in the community, comprised of business owners and representatives who are passionate about improving Downtown and growing the Downtown economy. The leadership of the MDA and its partners has been instrumental in leading and nurturing a vibrant Downtown as a place where people are inspired. “
