From the grand mansion of the Greenough family to bear cages, streetcars, Native encampments, and the old Missoula cemetery, this 2-hour walking tour uncovers a deep and layered history of Missoula’s north side. Stroll through Greenough Park and the historic Lower Rattlesnake neighborhood while exploring the stories that shaped this corner of town.
We’ll begin at the lower Greenough Park parking lot at 1011 Monroe St. and end at the Mount Jumbo trailhead at the end of Cherry St. The route is about 1.2 miles and entirely outdoors.
