Downtown Resources

The Downtown BID and Missoula Downtown Association strive to help our constituents find the information and resources they need to be as successful as possible in Downtown Missoula.

Below you will find a section of Community Links with organizations that help make Downtown the heart of the Missoula community. Additionally, you will find survey  information from 2008 and 2009 from a variety of research the BID has conducted. This information is presented as a tool to help Downtown stakeholders understand community perceptions about Downtown Missoula, and can serve as a guide for marketing decision making, recruitment and retention, business management and decision making processes. This report does not draw any conclusions from information that was collected, it merely lists each question and the subsequent response data. We strongly encourage your review of this information and for your comments regarding this survey process

UNIQUE VENUES & PARKS WITHOUT FACILITIES

Lewis and Clark Trail Adventures
Clark Fork trips through downtown Missoula
We offer two different “Town floats” – the classic Milltown to Downtown is a scenic 7 mile float starting in East Missoula, passing through Hellgate Canyon, a small drop near Jacob’s Island (University of Montana) and then the popular surf wave downtown at Caras Park named Brennan’s Wave.
Heading down river west of town we also offer the Kelly Island to Kona Bridge trip – this section of river meanders through Cottonwood groves offering amazing birding & wildlife opportunities for such close proximity to town. We can do a dinner stop w/ similar amenities as the Alberton Gorge dinner float or participants can disembark near Caras Park and have dinner downtown or on Thurs night’s Downtown Tonight.
A gourmet dinner float on the Alberton Gorge of the Clark Fork River
The Alberton Gorge is a section of the Clark Fork River 30 miles west of Missoula. This stretch of river carves out a beautiful canyon with exciting class III rapids, calm pools for swimming, and abundant scenery.
