The Missoula Parking Commission (MPC) believes that every minute counts. Whether your patrons are running in to grab a quick and delicious lunch or coming Downtown for a few hours to shop and play, every minute of their time is important. The MPC strives to make the Downtown Parker’s experience as positive and convenient as possible from the minute they park until the minute they drive away.
With this goal in mind, the MPC is delighted to announce the upcoming installation of upgraded gating equipment in our Central Park and Park Place Garages as well as in our Caras Park lot. Our new gating equipment will provide for a greener (less paper & idling), more user friendly, and efficient experience for parkers. With the addition of Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) to our gating equipment, lease holders will be able to zip in and out of the garages without having to fumble with an access card, making for a quicker experience for all parkers.
Construction begins June 11, 2018 and is scheduled for completion by June 30, 2018. Construction will be done one facility at a time and one lane at a time, reducing inconvenience to parkers while allowing them to continue to park in their preferred facility.
In addition to our Park Place and Central Park garages, the Parking Commission is excited to announce the opening of the Roam garage, located at 301 E. Front Street. The Roam garage will bring approximately 142 public parking spaces to the Downtown parking inventory with leasing to begin shortly after July 1, 2018.
