2010 Garden City Brewfest
May 1, 2010 – 12-8pm – Caras Park – Downtown, Missoula
Join us for the 18th Annual Garden City Brewfest the first Saturday in May. This favorite annual event features more than 60 beers on tap, a wine bar, food and live music. $7 gets you a 7-ounce signature tasting glass and two drink tokens – additional tokens are just $1 each. Come early for best selection. Bring your ID and please Drink Responsibly.

The Lil’ Smokies: 12-2:30 pm
The 18th Annual Brewfest kicks off with The Lil’ Smokies. Lil’ Smokies formed in Missoula, MT in January of 2009 at Cameron Wilson’s Bar. The Band includes members of Burnt Toast, Rich and Rare, and Broken Valley Roadshow. They are mix of folk/traditional/80s/classic rock/jazz. They are currently recording their first cd which includes 8 original tracks and will be available soon. Setup includes Guitar, Lead Guitar, Banjo, Dobro, Fiddle, Mandolin, Harmony Mandolin, And Double Bass. Members have played with some of Bluegrass greats and some have traveled a far as China to perform.
Secret Powers: 2:30-5 pm
The day continues with Missoula favorite Secret Powers. Secret Powers is what happens when the best of the Los Angeles indie-rock community merges with the best of the Missoula indie-rock community. They become the greatest band of all time!
Wartime Blues: 5-8 pm
Last, but certainly not least, is Wartime Blues. Wartime Blues, an eight-person indie-americana outfit, hails from the eclectic arts community of Missoula, Montana. With raw vocals and lyrics layered on top of everything from banjos and cellos to electric guitars, Wartime has packed Missoula clubs with hipsters and hippies alike since 2007. With a debut EP and a summer tour already under their belt, the band released their first full length, Doves & Drums, in December 2009.
