Where is the gift card accepted?

The gift card is accepted at more than 200 Downtown Missoula businesses.  For a complete list of businesses that accept Downtown gift cards, click here.

Why was my card ‘rejected’ at a participating merchant?

Most likely, your purchase exceeded the amount available on the gift card. This can be remedied by asking the merchant to ring in your other form of payment (for the difference) before swiping the gift card.

Where can Downtown Missoula Gift Cards be purchased?

  • In person at the Downtown Missoula Partnership office located at 218 E. Main St., Missoula (8am – 5pm, Monday – Thursday, 8am – 4pm Friday excluding federal holidays)

Where do I pick up the gift cards that I purchased online?

Online pickup orders are located at the DMP office at 218 E Main St., Ste. C. Our hours are 8 am – 5 pm from Monday through Thursday and 8 am – 4 pm on Friday.

What payment type(s) are accepted?

Online and on the phone: Visa, Discover, Master Card and American Express
In person: Visa, Discover, Master Card and American Express, as well as cash and check

In what amounts can the gift cards be purchased?

The cards can be purchased in any denomination from $5 to $500.

Is there a limit to the number of gift cards that can be purchased?

No, there is no limit to the number of cards you can purchase. If you are ordering online and need more than 12 of any denomination, please contact us at 406-543-4238. For large orders, payment by check is preferred but not required.

Is there a fee to purchase a gift card?

There is a $1 transaction fee when purchasing a gift card online or at the Downtown Missoula Partnership. The PaddleHeads Post charges a $1 activation fee per card at time of purchase. There are shipping/handling charges if you would like the card mailed.

Does the gift card ever expire?

Unless prohibited by law, a $2.50 inactivity fee will be deducted from your card balance starting on the first day after a one-year period of inactivity. For Cards sold in states other than New York, activity means any actions resulting in an increase or decrease in the Card balance, other than the imposition of a fee, or an adjustment due to an error or reversal of a prior transaction. For Cards sold in New York, activity shall include balance inquiries and customer service activity made by you. For the Card transaction history, visit www.getmybalance.com or call 1.800.755.0085.

What if my card is lost/stolen?

Unless prohibited by law, if a replacement Card is issued for a lost, stolen or damaged card, prior to “valid thru” date, a $5.00 Replacement Card Fee may be assessed. The replacement fee, if any, will be deducted from the card balance, as long as there is a remaining balance of at least $10.00 on the card; otherwise, it will be paid by the cardholder at the time of replacement.

Can’t you just email it to me?

Downtown Missoula Gift Cards are physical cards that function similar to debit/credit cards. Merchants must swipe the card through their Point of Sale system in order to process the payment. Gift Cards must be shipped or picked up at one of our Downtown locations.

The Reverse Side of the Card States: Card funds do not expire.

Unless prohibited by law, a $2.50 fee will be deducted monthly from Card balance starting 1st day after 1 year of inactivity. Activity means an action resulting in a change in Card balance, other than fee impositions, or adjustment due to error or prior transaction reversal. $5 fee to replace lost, stolen or damaged Card, except as prohibited by law.

All online sales over $150 are prohibited unless the billing address matches the shipping address. Cards valued over $150 must be shipped to the billing address. A single transaction cannot exceed $3,000.
